Purpose of Position

Identifies and cultivates potential customers for the company's Fusion Splicer and Connectivity products and services. Maintains existing accounts to ensure customer needs are satisfactorily fulfilled in a profitable manner. Provides competitive information and market/product guidance.

General Functions / Specific Responsibilities
  • Initiate contact and dialogue with potential customers and acquire business.
  • Support existing accounts to maintain customer satisfaction.
  • Develop and present proposals and presentations to customers, utilizing other company resources effectively to achieve territory goals.
  • Facilitate two-way communication between the company and customers, providing potential applications and market feedback.
  • Manage time and budget for the sales territory to maximize benefits.
  • Maintain detailed records of customer interactions, sales calls, correspondence, and proposals.
  • Set quarterly sales objectives and forecast territory sales volumes.
  • Analyze competitors and market actions to recommend strategies.
  • Participate in trade shows and exhibitions to promote products and services.
  • Submit weekly activity reports highlighting customer contacts and marketplace information.
Requirements for Position

Broad knowledge in a technical or professional discipline with 4-8 years of experience in the Enterprise/Premise industry. Preferably based in Texas.

Other Skills

Strong communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills; ability to establish rapport; negotiation skills; resilient and energetic; proactive and self-motivated.
