OverviewWRAL-TV, a trusted leader in television and digital media, is seeking a dynamic and results-driven Senior Account Executive to join our sales team. This role focuses on solution selling of WRAL-TV’s linear and digital products while growing and managing a diverse list of businesses. The ideal candidate is a highly motivated sales professional with a proven track record in media sales, exceptional client relationship skills, and the ability to deliver innovative marketing solutions that drive measurable results for clients.

- Solution Selling:
Develop and execute comprehensive sales strategies that leverage WRAL-TV’s linear and digital product offerings, including television advertising, streaming, display, OTT, and social media campaigns. - Business Development:
Proactively identify and cultivate new business opportunities to expand client portfolios, with a focus on increasing market share and driving revenue growth. - Account Management:
Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and prospective clients by providing exceptional service, strategic advice, and creative marketing solutions tailored to their business objectives. - Revenue Growth:
Meet and exceed individual and team revenue targets by managing an active sales pipeline and delivering consistent sales performance. - Client Insights:
Conduct thorough market research to understand client industries, competitors, and advertising trends. Use data-driven insights to create compelling proposals and presentations. - Collaboration:
Work closely with internal departments, including creative, production, and digital teams, to ensure seamless campaign execution and client satisfaction. - Reporting:
Accurately forecast revenue and maintain detailed records of client interactions, proposals, and contracts in CRM systems. - Professional Development:
Stay current with industry trends, emerging technologies, and market dynamics to position WRAL-TV as a leader in media solutions. - Other Duties as Assigned
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3–5 years of successful sales experience in media, advertising, or a related industry. Experience with television and digital sales is highly preferred.
- Demonstrated expertise in consultative selling and building long-term client relationships.
- Proficiency in digital advertising platforms, including OTT, CTV, programmatic, and social media.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a focus on delivering ROI for clients.
- Self-motivated, organized, and able to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
- Proficiency in CRM tools and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Advanced certifications or training in digital marketing (e.g., Google Ads, Facebook Blueprint, or IAB Digital Media Sales Certification).
- Strong network and established relationships within the local business community.
- Experience with audience analytics platforms (e.g., Nielsen, Comscore) and advanced reporting tools.
- Proven success in managing high-value accounts or working with a diverse range of industries.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, competitive sales environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Knowledge of emerging advertising trends, such as AI-driven ad placements or innovative OTT solutions.
- Ability to sit or stand for extended periods while working at a desk, attending meetings, or delivering presentations.
- Frequent travel within the market area to meet with clients, which may involve driving and occasional carrying of promotional materials or equipment (e.g., laptop, presentation boards).
