- Responsible for slicing fruit and vegetables and ensuring the kitchen has the proper ingredients to prepare meals for the day.
- Preparing cold dishes, salads, sandwiches, and desserts.
- Responsible for ensuring that all dishes are prepared according to Newrest's recipes and standards.
- Proper handling techniques to ensure that the food is fresh, safe, and of high quality.
- Perform proper food packaging and storing based on safety requirements and customer instructions.
- Follow all process control documentation.
- Wash hands regularly according to production procedures.
- Report any unsanitary practices and unsafe conditions.
- Follow all food safety, health and safety, company rules and standards.
- Must be able to stand during the shift.
- Regular and timely attendance is expected for the position.
- Other job duties may be assigned based on operational needs.
- High School Diploma required.
- At least one year working in a food production environment
- Must display proficient knife skills and techniques
- Must be comfortable working in a cold environment.
- Must be able to stand for long periods.
- Ability to handle pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Good work ethic and communication
- Good knowledge of HACCP and food safety standards.

The work environment will be in a kitchen, with temperatures ranging from room temperature to very cold and noise levels varying from moderate to very loud. You will also need to utilize a sharp knife.
