- Assist the Food Service Director in daily planning and preparation of meals for approximately 2000 annual visitors of the Betsy-Jeff Penn 4-H Educational Center.
- Help ensure kitchen operations comply with state and local health requirements.
- Possess basic food knowledge and cooking skills.
- Wash, chop, peel, cut, and/or mix ingredients for salad/fruit bar.
- Prepare the assigned meal for the day with awareness of allergens and cross-contamination.
- Availability to work open and/or close kitchen shifts as needed.
- Clean and sanitize dishes, utensils, work areas, and equipment.
- Maintain dining room cleanliness after meals and take out trash as needed.
- Receive deliveries using FIFO to rotate stock in the cooler, freezer, and dry storage; assist with maintaining inventory levels for ordering.
- Perform other duties as deemed necessary by the Food Service Director.
- Minimum Experience/
Education:
High School Diploma or Equivalent; at least 1 year of kitchen experience; basic knowledge of allergens and food preparation/safety guidelines. - Department
