Essential

Job Duties
  • Wash dishes, glassware, and serving utensils using a conveyor belt machine or by hand; ensure all items are cleaned and sanitized.
  • Maintain a steady supply of clean dishes, utensils, and glassware for use in the dish room.
  • Assist with restocking and cleaning beverage and dining areas, maintain and restock all public restrooms, remove trash, and sweep and mop at the end of the shift.
  • Check in food stock items, break down pallets, organize food stock in a timely manner, and place received items in appropriate storage areas.
  • Perform cleaning tasks in accordance with maintaining a Grade “A” Sanitation rating.
  • Other duties as assigned to ensure NC State Dining business needs are met; may be asked to assist in other locations as necessary.
Work Schedule

Shifts are available from early morning to late nights, including weekends. Full‑ and part‑time positions are available. Please list your availability in the application.

Requirements and Preferences
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Demonstrated possession of the competencies necessary to perform the work will also be considered.

  • Stand for long periods, walk, bend, twist, pull, and push; operate in extremely hot and cold conditions.
  • Lift up to 30 lbs with or without reasonable accommodation.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Previous food service experience.
  • Previous commercial dish‑washing experience.
  • Understanding of proper cleaning and sanitation procedures.
