Job Summary: We are seeking an experienced Server to join our team! The Server is the face of our restaurant and plays an integral role in our customer’s dining experience. You will build rapport with customers, answer questions about the menu, take orders, and serve food and drinks. The ideal candidate is friendly, outgoing, and has fantastic attention to detail.
Responsibilities:
- Demonstrate exemplary operations skills in all aspects of the restaurant including making quality products for our customers and ensuring each product meets Lee’s Kitchen’s standards and accurately reflects the customer’s order.
- Respond professionally and promptly to all customer concerns or issues.
- Maintain safe working conditions and a sanitary work area.
- Maintain accurate cash handling procedures at all times.
- Provide excellent customer service.
- Greet guests and suggestively sell and fill food and beverage orders.
- Handle cash, credit card, and discount transactions with the assistance of a POS (Point of Sale) register.
- Replenish condiment stands, straighten chairs and tables, and maintain a clean, sanitized food service area by following established cleaning procedures.
- Ensure extraordinary guest service by providing positive interactions with guests in a friendly and courteous manner.
- Understand and actively participate in Environmental, Health & Safety responsibilities by following Lee’s Kitchen’s policies, procedures, training, and team member involvement activities.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Position Qualifications:
- Previous experience as a server is preferred.
- Friendly and outgoing personality.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Familiarity with food safety guidelines.

Functional Skills: Cash management skills.
Education and/or Experience:
- High School diploma or GED.
- Successful and stable employment history.
- Serv Safe Food Handlers Certification required.
Physical Demands: Repetitive hand use, standing for prolonged periods, walking, grasping, bending, twisting, reaching, crouching, kneeling, lifting up to 50 pounds, and occasionally more than 51 pounds.
Work Environment: Various temperatures, noisy environment, near moving mechanical parts, with dangerous equipment or sharp tools, fumes, odors, dust, or chemicals.
Additional Information:
- Must be 20 years of age or older.
- Reliable transportation required.
- Willing to work long hours, including nights, weekends, and emergencies.
- Ability to perform all restaurant positions.
- Work with phones and computers.
- Non-exempt, hourly position.
