Overview
North Hills Animal Hospital & Resort is seeking a Kennel Assistant to join our team. Our Kennel team is dedicated to maintaining a clean and safe environment for patients, clients, and staff. In this role, you will support both animal care and facility maintenance
.
- Monitoring dogs in daycare groups
- Providing daily care for boarding dogs and cats including feeding, watering, bathing, and socializing boarded pets
- Administering medications to both dogs and cats
- Performing janitorial and housekeeping duties, ensuring kennels, common areas, and treatment spaces are properly sanitized and well stocked with supplies
- Reliable, friendly, organized, and able to multitask while prioritizing animal safety and well-being
- Minimum qualifications:
kennel or animal handling experience desired, but not required - Proficiency in: strong attention to cleanliness and sanitation, ability to observe and report changes in animal behavior or condition, comfort handling dogs and cats safely (including group settings), ability to follow care protocols including feeding and medication routines
This is a full-time position, with availability Monday–Sunday. Typically staff work every other weekend.
