It is an 18-hole, 7,400 yard course. This is an Arnold Palmer Signature Golf Course and is designed to promote sustainability and to fit into the ecology of the natural environment. The golf course is also registered in the Audubon International Signature Program at the Silver Level.

Working at Lonnie Poole Golf Course involves maintaining the home turf of the NC State Wolfpack. We seek reliable and hardworking individuals to join our Grounds Crew to support daily golf course maintenance for high-quality playing conditions and pristine course appearance. There are currently two positions available.

• Assist in all areas of golf course groundskeeping
• Perform landscaping, sodding, and general course upkeep
• Apply fertilizers and pesticides on and around the course
• Mow and maintain fairways, roughs, fringes, and greens
• Conduct ornamental and turf pest control
• Maintain and repair sprinkler and irrigation systems
• Assist with fencing installation and maintenance
• Perform tree trimming and debris removal
• Operate and maintain golf course maintenance equipment
• Complete daily assignments independently and according to work schedules

• Work Environment
  • Outdoor work with exposure to heat, cold, rain, and other weather conditions
  • Physically demanding tasks including long periods of strenuous labor, walking on uneven surfaces, bending, crouching or kneeling, and operating equipment
  • Lifting up to 70 lbs. frequently, with or without reasonable accommodation

Minimum Experience/Education
High school or GED diploma and the competencies to perform the work, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Necessary Special

Qualifications:

North Carolina Pesticide License may be required and can be obtained within six months of employment;
North Carolina Commercial Driver's License may be required.
