IVF Nurse Coordinator

Atlantic Reproductive is seeking experienced IVF Nurse Coordinator. This position will coordinate the physician's plan of care for patients and act as the liaison between the patient/family and the healthcare staff. Responsibilities will include coordinating clinical procedures such as the ovulation inductions, intrauterine insemination and in vitro fertilization cycles. The ideal candidate will need strong teambuilding and problem-solving skills; the ability to multi-task and a wide degree of creativity.

Responsibilities
  • Supports and implements policies, procedures, organizational objectives and controls to maintain an efficient organization. Ensures their execution.
  • Coordination of the physician's plan of care and creation of flowsheet for patients undergoing treatment.
  • Provides education classes for patients in treatment cycles.
  • Promotes effective communication and information flow within the practice and lab.
  • Establishes appropriate levels of patient services and ensures quality of nursing care via face to face interactions, phone, secure video and portal communication.
  • Works with other nursing staff to schedule the workflow of the clinical day-to-day operations to ensure all patient needs are met.
  • Works with other team members to ensure appropriate preparation of rooms, sterile instruments, equipment and supplies for surgical procedures.
  • Assists physician during treatment and examination of patient; checks that all medical records, specialty packs, and sets are prepared and ready for use when needed.
  • Counsel patients during and after visits, review patient's findings and coordinate plans for diagnosis and/or treatment.

Qualifications:

Qualified candidates must have a bachelor's degree in nursing and 3 years of relevant experience. In-depth knowledge of HIPAA standards, OSHA compliance, federal and state regulations is required. Applicants must also have strong written/verbal communication skills as well as computer skills including EMR and paperless work environment.
