The Campus Health 12‑month Professional Nurse rotates to the Medical Clinic, Treatment Clinic Services, Centennial Campus or Gynecology Services and is responsible for assessing patients, implementing treatment plans, and evaluating the patient's response to treatment and care.

• Administering IV fluid
• Administering immunizations in compliance with state and university regulations
• Working independently, utilizing standing orders
• Assisting providers with procedures
• Triaging patients
• Documenting accurately in the electronic health record
• Performing wound care
• The position requires the ability to lift up to 35 pounds, stand for long periods of time, and bend to perform duties standard in providing health care

• Assists with physical exams and administers medications
• Participates in quality improvement activities
• Participates in fire, code blue, and emergency preparedness drills
• Must report to work during adverse weather, related scenarios and public health emergencies

Licensed to practice as a Registered Nurse in the state of North Carolina.

• At least three years of current clinical nursing experience in primary care, campus health, urgent care, or acute care setting
• Applicable and current experience in patient teaching, wound care, administering injections, IV therapy, triaging for referral, documentation in an electronic health record, and collaborating with other team members to optimize patient flow in clinics
• Appreciation of the needs of the college‑age population and cultural competence in caring for varied patients
• Exposure control training for blood, body secretions, and communicable diseases
• HIPAA training

• Current license to practice as a registered nurse in NC by the North Carolina Board of Nursing
• CPR certification required
