The North Carolina Neurosurgery and Spine Department is an integral component of the North Carolina Neurosciences and Spine Center at Rex Hospital. We are seeking a dedicated and skilled nurse to join our dynamic team and support our program's continued growth and excellence. This role offers the opportunity to work within a close-knit, collaborative environment where your contributions directly impact patient outcomes and team success.

Our newly hired nurse will collaborate with an exceptional team of physicians, advanced practice providers (APPs), medical assistants, and administrative staff to deliver outstanding care for patients with complex neurological and spine conditions. • 8:30am – 5:00pm, Monday – Friday
• This position is eligible for a commitment incentive ($10,000 paid over a three (3) year commitment; $2,500 paid at time of hire).

• Provide direct clinic support and patient care assistance.
• Manage patient phone calls and messages.
• Triage with clinical judgment.
• Process and coordinate prescription refills.
• Prepare patients for procedures and manage scheduling logistics.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for hospital consultation requests.
• Coordinate comprehensive care plans on behalf of our provider team.
• Facilitate communication between patients, families, and healthcare team members.

Diploma, Associate Degree (ADN) or Bachelor’s Degree (BSN) from an accredited school of Nursing.

Licensed to practice as Registered Nurse in North Carolina. BCLS.

Previous experience in physician office, urgent care, or emergency department preferred.

Ability to read, analyze, and interpret clinical information and technical procedures, document clinical information, and communicate effectively with patients, physicians, family members, and other staff.

Mathematical

Skills:

Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.

Reasoning Ability:
Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret extensive variety of technical instructions.
