The Clinical Nurse plays a vital role in our Orthopedics Unit at Wake Med, providing comprehensive nursing care to patients and their families.
Overview
The Clinical Nurse is responsible for delivering total comprehensive nursing through a patient‑centered plan of care. This plan is developed based on a thorough assessment of the patient’s physical, psychological, socioeconomic status, and physician orders. The role supports Wake Med’s mission, values, and nursing practice standards, including the ANA Scope, North Carolina Board of Nursing Practice Act, and Wake Med’s Patient & Family Centered Care (PFCC) model.
