Operates computer programmable/controlled machines to perform a series of progressive machining operations on repetitive work to close and exacting tolerances. Requires a general knowledge of machining techniques and methods and familiarity with numerical control machine operating procedures. May download operating programs and make minor adjustments to maintain product specifications. Perform other duties as assigned.
Responsibilities- Complete work assigned in the allotted time.
- Ensure work meets company quality standards.
- Maintain the work area and equipment to meet company 5S standards upon completion.
- Report all variances from standards to Manager.
- Blueprint reading.
- Basic math skills (calculator).
- Basic hand tools and assembly machines.
- Ability to understand and follow English verbal and written instructions.
- 5S Principles.
- Dexterity of hands and fingers to operate tools and equipment.
- Capability to stand, bend, push, move and lift objects up to 50 pounds.
- Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision and ability to adjust focus.
