Our client, a leading organization in the Life Science Manufacturing industry, is seeking a Metrology and Calibration Technician to join their team. As a Metrology Technician, you will be part of the Calibration and Instrumentation Support team supporting manufacturing and quality assurance departments. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and a proactive approach, which will align successfully in the organization.
Job Title: Metrology and Calibration Technician
Location: Holly Springs, North Carolina
What's the Job?- Perform Troubleshooting, calibrations, PMs to all manufacturing and laboratory equipment and systems
- Perform electronic maintenance of pressure, temperature, flow, weight, pH, DO, and other critical process parameter measuring devices on a wide variety of process and utility equipment
- Troubleshoot and repair electrical and pneumatic control circuits
- Document all performed work on work orders, calibration data sheets, and other forms, as required
- Follow standard procedures and protocols to ensure compliance with safety and cGMP quality standards
- Perform loop checks for new instrumentation
- Perform LOTO
- High school diploma or equivalent required; an associate degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Chemical Engineering is preferred
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in maintenance, calibration, or a related field specifically in a cGMP regulated environment (preference for Pharma/Biotech industry)
- Intermediate knowledge of I&C/Metrology principles and PLC systems for process control troubleshooting
- Working knowledge of pressure, temperature, flow, Ph, conductivity instruments
- Working knowledge of water systems, boilers, chillers, and bioreactors
- Experience with GMP requirements and familiarity with Computerized Maintenance Management Software (CMMS) such as Pro Cal V5 , Maximo, or Infor EAM
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment
