Area Property Manager – Drucker + Falk, LLC

The Area Property Manager reports to the Director of Multifamily Management and oversees the daily operations of a residential complex, ensuring the property is maintained in good condition and operated with fiscal stability.

Essential Responsibilities
  • Train and supervise all staff members under their direct supervision.
  • Hire and terminate employees in accordance with Drucker + Falk LLC policy.
  • Write employee evaluations and recommend salary increases or advancement.
  • Maintain accurate payroll records and adhere to payroll policies and cutoff dates.
  • Adhere to all Drucker + Falk policies.
  • Prepare, process, and sign leases and related documents.
  • Assist in rent collection and manage delinquency matters.
  • Maintain records of all financial transactions for the property.
  • Follow all authorized accounting policies, including account numbers, daily income requirements, expense requirements, accounts payable system, and other monthly and special accounting items.
  • Purchase office supplies in line with company policy. Spend within authorized ceilings.
  • Supervise outside contractors working on the property.
  • Handle move‑in and move‑out details, with emphasis on apartment inspection check‑ins and check‑outs.
  • Ensure residents receive a clean, well‑maintained community.
  • Work within budget and notify the Director of any potential variations.
  • Resolve resident complaints.
  • Report accidents and emergencies to the Directors immediately and prepare the proper reports.
  • Ensure maintenance requests are handled promptly; notify residents of any delays.
  • Continuously inspect the property and improvements, record deficiencies, and take necessary action within budgetary allocations.
  • Establish schedules and assign personnel for routine maintenance and emergency coverage.
  • Assign personnel for office coverage and resident assistance as needed.
  • Oversee all aspects of marketing the apartment community.
  • Work directly with the Regional Property Manager to prepare the annual operating budget.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Supervisory Responsibilities

Includes staff in planning, decision‑making, facilitation, and process improvement; takes responsibility for employees’ activities; provides regular performance feedback; develops employees’ skills and encourages growth; solicits and applies feedback from employees, residents, and owners.

Education and/or Experience
  • 7 years general, full‑time business experience
  • 5 years’ experience in Property Management
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations

ARM, CAM, RAM, or HCCP preferred.
