We’re looking for a hands-on leader to manage a growing team of sales agents for a fast-growing, Raleigh based tech company that is disrupting the personal lines insurance industry. We’re looking for a high-velocity sales leader who has helped grow a distributed sales force from 10 to 100!
This is a full-time, direct hire position based in Raleigh, NC and offers an exceptional compensation package and benefits. There are no sponsorship or third-party arrangements available for this role.
Responsibilities for SVP Sales:
- Recruiting:
Proven ability to hire great talent, targeting top sales agents and integrating them into the team. - Onboarding:
Implement a systemic training program for new hires focusing on the value proposition and ramping them into successfully selling across multiple states. - Coaching:
A strong focus on helping employees improve their performance. - Targeted Performance Management:
Focus on accurate and effective performance data for agents and implement performance improvement initiatives where needed. - Great Alignment with the Executive Team:
Develop strong relationships and synergy with other executives to collaborate to maximize yield throughout the entire funnel. - Technology Adoption:
Aggressively push to deploy highly effective automation and nurture sequences.
Requirements for SVP Sales:
- Extensive experience as an executive team member of a private-equity-backed or public company.
- High-velocity sales experience with a deep understanding of sales methodologies, go-to-market strategies and revenue operations.
- Strong financial acumen in the ability to analyze revenue metrics and forecasting.
- Strategic thinking with the ability to align revenue strategy with overall business objectives.
- Data-driven decision making and comfort with analytics tools and CRM platforms.
- Expertise in pipeline management and customer lifecycle optimization.
- High EQ leader with a high level of intellectual curiosity; capable of evaluating process and organizational design, committed to establishing a culture of innovation and accountability, and unafraid to reassess and restructure the existing organization.
- A strong recruiter of sales talent who people are excited to come work for – and who has built and scaled a high-performing sales organization.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
- A technology-forward approach to problem solving and process improvement.
- A strong focus on data and analytical analysis.
- A proven ability to lead a large, distributed team leadership.
- Experience in insurance or consumer financial products bought by consumers preferred.
- Strong attention to detail.
