Manager, ISS, Prevailing Wage

Job Summary

The Manager, ISS, Prevailing Wage supports client projects to assist federal contractors and federal funding recipients with compliance with Department of Labor Wage and Hour requirements, including Fair Labor Standards Act, Service Contract Act, Davis‑Bacon, and related Executive Orders. The position also supports prevailing wage and apprenticeship requirements under the Inflation Reduction Act.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide guidance and solutions to clients on federal contractor/federal funding recipient labor law requirements (SCA, DBRA, FLSA, etc.)
  • Perform compliance assessments, mock audits, process and system recommendations, and training
  • Support contractors during Department of Labor investigations and serve as an interface when needed
  • Evaluate investigative findings, remediate non‑compliance, and propose settlements or payment options
  • Review and develop client policies, procedures, and tools for compliance
  • Assist with equitable adjustment claims, debarment proceedings and other labor law disputes
  • Provide technical support for client questions
  • Assist Directors and Partners with client proposals and scoping opportunities
  • Participate in firm development activities, including conferences and marketing initiatives
  • Contribute to thought leadership through articles, white papers, or presentations
Supervisory Responsibilities
  • Assist in workload supervision, scheduling, development, and training of associates and senior associates
  • Review and evaluate work prepared by associates and senior associates
  • Train associates and senior associates on firm methodologies and subject matters
  • Provide verbal and written performance feedback
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree required; advanced degree preferred
  • Five (5) or more years of relevant federal contracting experience
  • Experience with FAR, SCA, DBRA, FLSA, CWHSSA, and Minimum Wage and Paid Sick Leave Executive Orders
  • Experience with the Inflation Reduction Act preferred
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)

  • Solid organizational skills, ability to meet deadlines, focus on details
  • Ability to multi‑task and work independently or in a team
  • Ability to work in a deadline‑driven environment and handle multiple projects
  • Ability to apply rules and regulations and work with minimal supervision
Salary

National Range: $110,000 - $140,000. NYC/Long Island/Westchester Range: $110,000 - $140,000. Maryland Range: $110,000 - $140,000.
