Join a a prominent mid-size, full-service law firm based in Raleigh, North Carolina. The firm focuses on creditors' rights, collections, business law, commercial litigation, and family law for clients in North and South Carolina
- Areas of Practice: Specializes in business law, commercial bankruptcy, foreclosure, equipment leasing, construction law, employment law, and estate planning.
- Clients: Represents a diverse range of clients including individuals, families, and businesses.
- Office Locations: Primarily operates out of Raleigh, NC, with a focus on serving the Carolinas.
The Litigation Paralegal plays a critical role in supporting attorneys in complex commercial litigation, commercial creditor bankruptcy matters, and collection cases. Working closely with attorneys and legal staff, this position involves both substantive legal work and administrative case management. This role is ideal for an experienced litigation paralegal who enjoys managing detailed case work, collaborating with a legal team, and contributing meaningfully to successful case outcomes.

- Draft routine pleadings, affidavits, orders, and other legal documents.
- Proofread and edit legal documents and written materials to ensure accuracy and completeness.
- Maintain legal calendaring systems to ensure compliance with court deadlines and procedural requirements.
- Analyze, gather, and coordinate information, documents, reports, and evidence for discovery responses.
- Assist attorneys in preparing discovery responses and case materials.
- Utilize legal and technical information to make independent recommendations to supervising attorneys.
- Communicate with court personnel, local counsel, opposing counsel, and other external parties.
- Monitor hearing schedules and assist with overall case file management.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
- Minimum three years of litigation paralegal experience, with strong working knowledge of:
- Complex commercial litigation
- Commercial creditor bankruptcy matters
- Paralegal certification and a 2- or 4-year college degree preferred.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong drafting skills with exceptional attention to detail.
- Proven ability to work closely and effectively within a legal team.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently.
- Demonstrated ability to prioritize tasks and manage time efficiently.
- Typing speed of 50+ words per minute.
- Experience in a fast-paced legal environment.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
