Associate Attorney

Hilton Silvers & McClanahan is seeking a NC–licensed attorney interested in building a practice focused primarily on civil litigation, with opportunities to assist in transactional and estate matters. Our firm handles real estate and business transactions, estate planning and administration, immigration, and civil litigation, with an in-office work environment that promotes community.

Due to a growing litigation caseload, we are looking for the right attorney to join our team and assist with a wide range of litigation responsibilities which include the following:

• Client intake and case evaluation
• Drafting correspondence, pleadings, motions, and discovery
• Taking and defending depositions
• Court appearances and hearings
• Advocacy in court proceedings
• Negotiation in and out of mediation
• Occasional travel within North Carolina may be required, though much work remains local and remote court appearances are common

Qualifications:

• Active North Carolina law license
• Strong writing, communication, and organizational skills
• Interest in civil litigation and professional development
• No prior experience required; training and mentorship provided

A candidate will also have willingness to network and market to help grow the practice.
