Responsibilities- Conduct quality reviews of interpretation and translation assignments in target languages (priority:
Arabic, Mandarin, Russian, Haitian Creole, French, Portuguese, Vietnamese, Korean, Tagalog; rare languages such as Dari, Pashto, Tigrinya, Somali, Amharic). - Verify accuracy, clarity, and consistency against USCIS glossaries and terminology guides.
- Audit linguist performance (OPI, VRI, ASL support, document translation).
- Track Service Level Agreement (SLA) compliance and report findings.
- Document audit results, provide feedback, and support corrective action implementation.
- Work with the QC & Security Manager to prepare reports for the COR.
- Contribute to continuous improvement efforts by identifying trends and training needs.
- Bachelor’s degree in Linguistics, Translation/Interpretation, or related field (preferred).
- Fluency in English and at least one target language (Arabic, Mandarin, Russian, Haitian Creole, or other USCIS priority/rare languages).
- 2+ years of QA or professional linguistic experience (federal, legal, or immigration sector preferred).
- Knowledge of ISO 9001 / ISO 17100 quality management systems.
- Strong communication and reporting skills.
- Must be a U.S. Citizen or permanent resident eligible for Tier 3/Tier 5 federal clearance.
- Paid training in USCIS compliance and ISO quality systems.
