Global Impact Group LLC is a Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) and ISO 9001 / ISO 17100 certified provider of interpretation and translation services. We deliver multilingual support to federal, state, and local agencies across 80+ languages. We are expanding our translation team under a new USCIS contract and seeking full-time Document Translators to process sensitive immigration-related materials with accuracy, confidentiality, and compliance.
Responsibilities- Translate official USCIS documents (immigration records, forms, evidence submissions) with 100% accuracy.
- Maintain terminology consistency in line with USCIS glossaries and standards.
- Proofread and review translations for clarity, grammar, and completeness.
- Handle urgent and high-volume assignments while meeting deadlines.
- Collaborate with quality assurance (QA) staff to ensure compliance with ISO 17100 standards.
- Adhere to USCIS protocols regarding confidentiality, privacy, and data security.
- Support expedited requests when needed (24–48 hours turnaround).
- Fluency in English and at least one target language (priority: Spanish, Arabic, Mandarin, Russian, Haitian Creole; rare languages highly valued).
- Bachelor’s degree in Translation, Linguistics, or related field.
- 2+ years of professional translation experience (government, legal, or immigration sector preferred).
- ATA certification or equivalent credentials strongly preferred.
- Familiarity with CAT tools and secure translation platforms.
- Must be able to pass a Tier 3 or Tier 5 federal background investigation.
- U.S. Citizenship or permanent residency required.
