The Team

The selected candidate will be part of S&P Global's Identity and Access Management (IAM) team, providing solutions architecture and thought leadership in driving our OKTA strategy and adoption. This role will focus on integrating OKTA into our broader IAM infrastructure and ensuring seamless identity management across environments.

About

The Role

Grade Level (for internal use): 11

The position is for an experienced Full Stack Developer to lead end‑to‑end development of our customer‑facing IAM applications. You will bridge the gap between security and user experience, building identity platform components such as login, registration, MFA, and user profile management. You will also modernize our authentication stack by implementing Passkeys (FIDO2/Web Authn).

The Impact

The candidate will drive the adoption of IAM strategies, focusing on OKTA integration. Responsibilities include designing, engineering, and implementing identity and access management solutions using OKTA for identity lifecycle management, secure access control, and compliance. You will recommend and implement IAM solutions following S&P Global standards, ensuring governance, RBAC, and identity federation align with business use cases.

What’s In It For You

As an engineer in the IAM team, you will shape the technical architecture of OKTA solutions for business applications. This role rewards passion for new technologies, security enhancement, and optimization of identity practices. You will design systems that meet the highest security standards and support secure, compliant technology investments.

We Are Looking For
  • 7+ years of professional full‑stack development experience
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field
  • Deep expertise in JavaScript/Type Script and at least one modern framework (React or Angular)
  • Proven experience building, testing, and consuming RESTful APIs
  • Design, develop, and maintain responsive, high‑performance web applications for all identity flows
  • Integrate front‑end applications with backend IAM services and APIs (Entra , Okta, custom services)
  • Implement modern authentication and authorization protocols on the client side (OAuth 2.0 with PKCE, OIDC)
  • Lead the implementation of Web Authn and FIDO2 protocols for passwordless Passkey experiences
  • Familiarity with API endpoints and SDKs of Okta, Entra , or Auth0
  • Excellent problem‑solving skills and ability to collaborate in a fast‑paced, agile environment
  • Experience with Terraform (infrastructure as code) and containerized application deployment
  • Experience managing monitoring, logging, and alerting (e.g., Splunk) for identity applications
  • Strong understanding of CI/CD pipelines, Git, and modern development workflows
  • Direct experience on an IAM platform/product is a major plus
Compensation and Benefits

Anticipated base salary range: $120,000 – $150,000 (location and experience based). The role is eligible for an annual incentive plan but not for a sales commission. Additional benefits include health care, retirement plans, financial wellness programs, flexible time off, and continuous learning opportunities.

Benefits
  • Health & Wellness coverage
  • Generous time off
  • Continuous learning resources
  • Retirement planning and student loan programs
  • Family‑friendly perks and retail discounts
