About the role
The Senior People Data Analyst is a senior individual contributor responsible for delivering high impact people analytics that inform enterprise level decisions. This role owns complex analyses end to end—from data acquisition and modeling through insight development and executive ready storytelling—and plays a critical role in evolving the organization from descriptive and diagnostic reporting to predictive, forward looking analytics.
The role partners closely with HR and business leaders to identify the key drivers of workforce outcomes, model future scenarios, and translate complex people data into clear, actionable insights that influence strategy. Success in this role requires strong technical depth, sound analytical judgment, and the ability to operate independently while influencing across levels and functions.
This role reports to the Director of People Technology & Insights
This is a hybrid remote role, offering a flexible work arrangement out of our Raleigh, NC office, with an in-office requirement of two days per week.
You Will- Gather, maintain, and utilize a wide array of people data to provide insights to HR. This may involve entering or consolidating multiple data sources into existing files to accurately input and store critical data. Work with data structures and metadata to ensure consistency, security, and accessibility.
- Lead people analytics projects from business question to insight delivery. Exercise judgment while analyzing and interpreting data to ensure a high level of accuracy, timeliness, and usefulness for business leaders.
- Develop and maintain dashboards and reporting solutions for senior HR and business leaders, ensuring insights are decision‑ready, accurate, and aligned to strategic priorities.
- Pull, integrate, clean, validate, and analyze people data from multiple sources, including Dayforce (core HR), Jobvite (talent acquisition), and Culture Amp (survey & performance management) systems.
- Apply advanced analytical techniques, including statistical analysis, forecasting, and scenario modeling, to anticipate workforce trends and outcomes such as headcount, turnover, engagement, and staffing needs.
- Identify trends, risks, and outliers in people data; translate findings into clear recommendations that focus leaders on root causes and levers for action.
- Contribute to the ongoing evolution of people analytics capabilities, tools, and best practices, helping mature the function toward predictive and strategic impact.
- Help establish and uphold strong data governance, validation, and quality standards to ensure consistency, security, and reliability across data sets.
- Bachelor’s degree in Data Analytics, Data Science, Information Systems, Healthcare Administration, Business, Finance, or a related field;
Master’s degree (MBA, MHA, MS Analytics, or similar) preferred. - 5+ years of experience in data analytics, business intelligence, or people analytics, ideally with HR data and large, complex datasets.
- Strong analytical expertise, including data querying, forecasting, statistical modeling, and operations research, with exceptional attention to detail, data accuracy, and validation.
- Skilled in translating complex analytical concepts into clear, actionable insights for non‑technical audiences through compelling data storytelling.
- Deep understanding of HR processes (hiring, performance, compensation, learning, retention, turnover, and workforce planning) and their application in people analytics.
- Proficient with data visualization tools such as Tableau, Power BI, Visier, or similar; advanced Power BI skills (DAX, Power Query, data modeling) preferred.
- Advanced Excel skills (macros, formulas, pivot tables, lookups) and strong PowerPoint capability.
- Highly collaborative, able to work independently while partnering effectively with HR, People Technology, and business stakeholders.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with strong problem‑solving ability, time‑management skills, and a high degree of ownership, accountability, and curiosity.
