Database Administrator, Data Engineer
Akkodis is seeking a Developer for a Contract with a client in Raleigh, NC/Weehawken, NJ
. Candidates must have strong hands‑on experience with IBM Info Sphere CDC while troubleshooting log‑based replication issues and managing CDC workflows across Db2, Oracle, or SQL Server.
Rate Range: $75/hour to $83/hour; the rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.
DeveloperJob Responsibilities
- Manage, configure, and support IBM Info Sphere CDC / IBM Data Replication processes across multiple database platforms.
- Troubleshoot and resolve log‑based CDC replication issues, ensuring high availability and accuracy of data movement.
- Perform data validation and replication monitoring across Db2, Oracle, and SQL Server, ensuring consistency and reliability.
- Work within Unix/Linux environments to manage scripts, perform system checks, and maintain stable replication operations.
- Handle batch scheduling, monitoring, and incident management to ensure seamless end‑to‑end data pipeline execution.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to support replication enhancements, environment upgrades, and infrastructure‑related improvements.
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related technical discipline.
- 6+ years of professional experience, with 8–10 years preferred in data replication, CDC technologies, and database engineering.
- Strong hands‑on expertise with IBM Info Sphere CDC / IBM Data Replication, including log‑based CDC architecture, configuration, and troubleshooting.
- Deep technical proficiency in relational databases (Db2, Oracle, SQL Server—at least two required), along with experience in Unix/Linux environments and batch scheduling/incident management.

Pay Details: $75.00 to $83.00 per hour.
