Mid/Senior Project Manager / Technical Implementation Lead (SaaS | Public Services Tech)
Location: Raleigh, NC or Maine preferred (Remote First with willingness to meet once a month)
MUST Haves: SaaS experience, Startup experience, passion for working for small, nimble, tech organizations.
A growing SaaS technology provider in the public-services ecosystem is looking for a hands-on, technically fluent Project Manager to lead customer implementations and keep cross‑functional delivery on track. This is an opportunity to join a small but scaling team where your work has a direct impact on internal alignment, customer outcomes, and the evolution of the product.
As a Project Manager / Implementation Lead, you will guide customers through end‑to‑end onboarding while coordinating across engineering, product, data, and customer‑facing teams. You'll manage timelines, anticipate risks, and ensure technical work moves forward—whether it's a data migration, an integration build, workflow configuration, or coordinating cross‑team dependencies.
Project & Delivery Leadership- Drive project planning, execution, and delivery across multiple customer implementations
- Keep engineering, product, and data teams aligned and accountable
- Maintain proactive timelines and structure for complex technical work
- Run internal standups, customer check‑ins, and cross‑functional syncs
- Identify risks early and keep all parties coordinated toward realistic commitments
- Oversee Project Management of technical projects relating to data migrations, data mapping, validation, and reconciliation
- Support system configuration, workflow setup, and integration requirements
- Translate technical details into clear plans for both internal and external stakeholders
- Partner with Solutions Engineering on pre‑ and post‑sales technical scoping
- Serve as the primary point of execution during onboarding
- Clearly communicate expectations, progress, blockers, and tradeoffs
- Ensure customers understand how technical work impacts timelines and deliverables
- Utilize project and delivery tools such as Jira, Confluence, Asana, or Monday
Required:
- 2-6+ years in SaaS project management, technical project coordination, or implementation
- Must have experience in a SaaS environment - plus if you have Gov Tech experience
- Startup or early‑stage company experience
- Strong understanding of data migrations, integrations, system setup, and technical dependencies
- Experience working closely with engineering, product, and customer‑facing teams
- Ability to run multiple projects at once in a dynamic, evolving environment
- Strong communication skills - translating between technical and non‑technical audiences
- Comfortable owning timelines, structure, and cross‑team coordination in a fast‑paced setting
- Familiarity with tools like Jira, Confluence, , or Asana
- Work directly with leadership and influence delivery processes from the ground up – this is a smaller but growing organization so you will have the ability to grow alongside the company and see a real impact of the work you are doing.
