Position SummaryThe Inventory & Imaging Specialist I supports the lifecycle of IT hardware by performing routine inventory control, asset tagging, device imaging, and basic technical support. This role maintains accurate asset records, prepares equipment for deployment, and assists customers with straightforward IT requests through the Service Desk. The position works closely with IT Support teams to ensure smooth device deployment and a positive customer experience.
Job Duties Inventory & Asset Management- Receive, tag, and record IT hardware assets following established procedures.
- Maintain organized storage areas and ensure accurate inventory records.
- Perform routine physical inventory counts and assist with reconciliation.
- Prepare devices, peripherals, and accessories for deployment.
- Image and configure devices using standard organizational images and scripts.
- Install approved software packages and apply required updates.
- Conduct basic device functionality checks prior to deployment.
- Follow established checklists and SOPs for imaging and configuration tasks.
- Provide basic technical support in person, by phone, and through digital channels.
- Create, update, and resolve Service Desk tickets for routine issues.
- Assist users with device setup, login, and initial configuration.
- Escalate complex or non‑standard issues to higher‑level support teams.
- Follow established standard operating procedures (SOPs) and contribute feedback for improvements.
- Assist in updating documentation, checklists, and user guides.
- Maintain accurate and compliant asset and ticket records in ITSM and ITAM systems.
- Coordinate with IT Support teams to support device deployments, refresh cycles, and replacement schedules.
- Participate in team meetings, training sessions, and cross‑training opportunities.
- Support departmental initiatives aimed at improving customer experience and operational efficiency.
- Follows all Easterseals PORT Health policies, safety procedures, and confidentiality requirements.
- Other duties as assigned
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Coursework or certification in IT fundamentals preferred.
- 1-2 years of experience in IT support, inventory management, or related work.
- Experience using ticketing systems or asset tracking tools is helpful but not required.
- Knowledgeable on Windows operating systems and device setup.
- Familiarity with hardware components, peripherals, and common troubleshooting steps.
- Ability to follow imaging procedures, scripts, and checklists.
- Comfort using productivity tools such as email, spreadsheets, and documentation platforms.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
- Valid unrestricted North Carolina driver’s license, reliable transportation, and current vehicle insurance.
- Adherence to confidentiality, privacy, and safety standards in all program activities.
- Standard office equipment (computer, printer, cell phone)
- Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams) & Share Point
- Device imaging tools and software
- IT asset management and ticketing systems
- Barcode scanners and asset tagging equipment
- May require lifting and moving equipment up to 40 pounds.
- Occasional travel between organizational sites may be required.
- Must possess the necessary abilities to develop written communication and review work to determine accuracy.
- Ability to communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders, and ability to remain in a stationary position for extended periods of time.
