Middleware Administrator

Location: Hybrid - Raleigh, NC or Phoenix, AZ

Position Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Middleware Administrator with strong expertise across Web Logic, MQ, SOA Suite, Oracle Forms/Reports, and related middleware technologies. The ideal candidate will be responsible for application deployments, environment administration, performance optimization, and troubleshooting across both Windows and Linux platforms. This role requires strong analytical skills, effective communication, and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams in a hybrid work environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Administer and support middleware products including Web Logic Server, MQ, SOA Suite, and Oracle Forms & Reports
  .
• Create and configure JDBC Data Sources for backend database connectivity.
• Manage day-to-day administration tasks such as installation, configuration, clustering, and deployment of applications.
• Monitor system performance, analyze metrics, identify bottlenecks, and implement optimizations.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to server performance, alerts, and patches on both Windows and Linux platforms.
• Work with and support environments using Web Logic, Tomcat, Apache HTTP Server, JBoss, and Kafka
  .
• Diagnose and fix issues related to shell scripts, Ansible templates, system processes, and application performance
  .
• Create and maintain detailed documentation including system configurations, scripts, deployment guides, and operational procedures.
• Collaborate effectively with cross-functional and geographically diverse teams.

Required Skills & Experience

• Deep hands-on experience with Web Logic Server, MQ, SOA Suite, Oracle Forms/Reports
  .
• Strong understanding of application servers, clustering, deployments, and middleware architecture
  .
• Experience with Linux and Windows administration, patching, and troubleshooting.
• Hands-on experience with Tomcat, JBoss, Apache HTTP Server, Kafka
  .
• Proficiency in shell scripting and configuration tools like Ansible
  .
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills for cross-team collaboration.
