Middleware Engineer

Overview

Akkodis is seeking a Middleware Engineer for a Contract role onsite in Raleigh, NC or Phoenix, AZ
. The ideal candidate will install, configure, and support enterprise middleware platforms (IIS, JBoss, Web Logic, Mule Soft, Biz Talk), provide L2/L3 production support, and drive automation and performance monitoring across critical applications.

Rate Range: $53/hour to $56/hour

The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.

• Installing, configuring, patching, and maintaining IIS, JBoss/Web Logic, and Mule Soft Anypoint; supporting Oracle Applications & Web Logic environments
• Providing 24×7 L2/L3 production support; triaging integration incidents and managing escalations within SLAs
• Monitoring performance, server health, and queues using App Dynamics/Dynatrace/Splunk; driving RCA and permanent fixes
• Managing Biz Talk server groups (host instances, adapters, Message Box), and deploying WAR/EAR to clustered environments
• Troubleshooting complex middleware issues (thread/heap dumps, connection pools, JVM memory leaks); administering JMS servers/queues/topics
• Supporting Adobe Document Generation API/AEM integrations, SSL/TLS compliance for document workflows
• Automating operational tasks, deployments, and workflows to improve reliability and reduce manual effort
• Participating in Agile ceremonies (PI planning, scrum, retrospectives); creating requirements and technical specifications; coordinating cross‑application impact analysis

• 6–8 years of middleware engineering/administration experience
• Strong hands‑on with IIS, JBoss, Web Logic, Mule Soft, and Biz Talk
• Experience deploying to clustered environments; knowledge of JMS, queues, and topics
• Proficiency with monitoring/observability tools (App Dynamics, Dynatrace, Splunk) and performance troubleshooting
• Solid understanding of security (SSL/TLS), automation practices, and Agile delivery
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills

Pay Details: $53.00 to $56.00 per hour
