AWS Security Engineer

Akkodis is seeking an AWS Security Engineer for a Contract with a client in Raleigh, NC//Phoenix, AZ(Remote). The candidate must have deep expertise in AWS native security services to implement Landing Zones and safeguard cloud environments.
Rate Range: $50/hour to $53/hour;
The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.

• Design and implement secure AWS architectures including Landing Zones, Control Tower, IAM, VPC, and other native AWS security services.
• Deploy and configure AWS security resources using Terraform or Cloud Formation to ensure compliance and governance alignment.
• Monitor, analyze, and remediate cloud threats, misconfigurations, vulnerabilities, and attack patterns across AWS environments.
• Manage AWS security controls such as Identity Center, Cognito, SCP policies, Key Management, data protection, and certificate management.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to define security requirements, lead technical discussions, and provide architectural security guidance.
• Support Dev Ops security integrations by leveraging tools like Git Hub, Jenkins, Ansible, Docker, and Kubernetes for automated security enforcement.

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, Engineering, or a related technical field.
• Minimum 10+ years of experience in cloud security, AWS security engineering, or enterprise‑level security architecture.
• Deep hands‑on expertise with AWS security services (IAM, VPC, Security Hub, Guard Duty, Config, Inspector) and experience designing secure AWS Landing Zones and Control Tower.
• Strong experience in Terraform/Cloud Formation deployments, AWS Identity Center/Cognito, Key Management, and cloud‑based data protection with the ability to interact directly with customers and stakeholders.

$50.00 to $53.00 per hour
