Overview
The Oracle HCM System Architect is a critical technical leadership role responsible for overseeing the ongoing support, maintenance, and enhancement of the Oracle Human Capital Management (HCM) Cloud application. This individual will report into the Sr Manager HR Systems Engineer and will play a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth operation and continuous improvement of the Oracle HCM Cloud application.
Responsibilities- Oversee the timely resolution of all Oracle HCM system incidents, cases and requests, ensuring service level agreements (SLAs) are met.
- Manage regular system maintenance activities related to quarterly releases and configuration changes, minimizing disruptions to users.
- Lead the planning and implementation of system enhancements and projects to improve functionality, efficiency, and user experience.
- Serve as the point of contact for Oracle HCM, Eightfold support and other relevant vendors, managing relationships and escalations.
- Provide high-level support to end-users, including training and communication on system changes and new features.
- Manage and ensure optimal operations of all applications.
- Align HCM support strategies with the overall business goals and objectives.
- Provide decisions and problem solving guided by policies, procedures and business plan.
- Act as tier2 technical support for Oracle Cloud and Eightfold application issues.
- Provide subject matter expertise related to application build and functionality of systems.
- Analyze business process strength, weakness, inefficiencies, and risks to determine appropriate process and system design.
- Responsible and accountable for new design specifications, gathering requirements, development and management of HCM solutions as per business requirements.
- Recommend and architect global data solutions.
- Provide end user support, communicate standard processes and best practices.
- Commit to staying updated with the latest developments in Oracle HCM Cloud and related technologies.
- Serve as a key liaison with third parties and other stakeholders to define, implement and support system interfaces.
- Able to work independently with minimal guidance.
- Share knowledge, coach and train other colleagues with less experience.
- Identify gaps and analyze downstream impacts of technical and business requirements, making recommendations for improvements within assigned business areas.
- Bachelor's degree with at least 5 years of technology or industry experience required
- At least 4 years of Oracle HCM experience required, preferably for a global company
- Reporting Tools: BI Publisher, OTBI

Skills:
SQL, PL/SQL - Data Management:
Knowledge of data loading methods (FBDI, SDL, HCM Data Loader), security, and data migration - Cloud Technologies:
Understanding of Oracle Fusion's cloud architecture and its various modules - Customization and Personalization:
Using Sandboxes to customize the user interface and building extensions - Workflow and Approvals:
Configuring workflows and approval processes within the applications - Deep understanding of Oracle HCM Cloud modules, including Core HR, Talent Management, Recruiting, Compensation
- Familiarity with Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems and their integration with HCM solutions
- Strong collaboration skills with SMEs and business users/stakeholders, including senior management, to drive business analysis and user requirements
- Strong negotiation skills when working with business users to develop requirements and defend systems capabilities
- Oracle HCM Cloud certification(s)
- Team Lead Experience
- Experience with other technologies and systems
- Project management experience
- Demonstrated experience in an Agile environment with understanding of test concepts, methodologies, and practices
- Integration Technologies: HCM Extracts, Boomi
- Security:
Understanding and implementing security measures within Oracle Fusion application
