Sr. BSA - Policy Servicing Platform Experience Required

We’re partnering with a growing insurance organization to add a Senior Systems Analyst who will play a key role in supporting and evolving their core policy and product platforms. This role blends business analysis, system troubleshooting, product configuration, and cross‑team collaboration to keep critical insurance applications running smoothly and ready for future enhancements.

You’ll work at the intersection of product, technology, and operations – translating business goals into system requirements, analyzing how platform changes impact users, and helping guide the delivery of new features. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys solving complex system challenges, working closely with technical teams, and supporting insurance products from concept to production.

This position requires prior experience as a Business Systems Analyst (or similar technical/functional hybrid role) within the insurance space. Familiarity with policy administration platforms and annuity products is highly valued. The role is based in the Durham, NC area and follows a hybrid schedule with three in‑office days per week.

Job Description
  • Review and interpret business requests related to insurance products and convert them into structured system requirements.
  • Support the design and implementation of new product configurations, especially for annuity‑related functionality.
  • Partner with technical teams and external vendors to evaluate system impacts, validate design decisions, and plan updates.
  • Investigate and resolve data or system issues, using root‑cause analysis to prevent recurrence.
  • Participate in system testing cycles by reviewing test scenarios, validating results, and assisting users with questions.
  • Document system changes, application behaviors, workflow steps, and process maps for internal teams.
  • Lead issue triage for assigned applications and help coordinate solutions across development, QA, and business groups.
  • Identify opportunities to streamline processes, reduce manual work, or improve system stability.
  • Create user training materials and assist with onboarding and transition to new features.
  • Provide ongoing support during releases and product rollouts.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field (e.g., Computer Information Systems, Information Technology).
  • Must have 5+ years of experience in system or data analysis with strong knowledge of application components, integrations, and web services.
  • Data Analysis and Root Cause Analysis – SQL, Java script, etc.
  • Must have experience supporting or configuring an insurance policy administration platform.
