Business Systems Analyst II

Overview

This is a remote role that may only be hired in the following locations: CT, DE, IA, IN, KS, KY, NC, NH, OH, PA, RI, SC, VA, WV, PA, WI, AZ, FL, GA, MI, MO, TN, TX.

This Business Systems Analyst I I position will join the Consumer Loan Origination Systems team that provides development and support to over 600 branches at First Citizens Bank. This position will play a pivotal role on the application development team by defining and writing clear technical requirements, partnering with our business stakeholders to understand their needs, and directly configuring + implementing software changes in our applications.

• System Testing – In compliance with FCB SDLC standards, validates that developed software meets acceptance criteria and conforms to expected functionality.
• Data Analysis – Sources, compiles, and interprets data. Analyzes data for accuracy and efficiencies, effectively communicates analysis output.
• System Support – Provides daily technical support for systems by responding to inquiries, ensuring processes run smoothly, and working to continuously improve the end‑user experience. Assists in implementing recommended modifications and enhancements. May serve as an analytics resource to wider organization or business units.
• Identifying Requirements – Determines system requirements and communicates them through the use of specifications, reports, project plans, or other forms of documentation. Ensures compliance through monitoring and analysis.
• Reporting – Produces reports based on data analysis, user input, and system testing. Assists in the identification of potential issues or areas of improvement.

Bachelor’s Degree and 2 years of experience in Systems Support, or Analytics, or Operational Support OR High School Diploma or GED and 6 years of experience in Systems Support, or Analytics, or Operational Support

• Experience working in an Agile environment (Scrum or Kanban)
• Clear, concise verbal and written communication
• Demonstrated experience writing business and/or technical requirements, particularly in an Agile environment and user story formats
• Experience configuring and maintaining software applications
• Experience/exposure with SQL, Microsoft Access, and Microsoft Excel
• Experience testing developed/deployed software
• Familiarity with Consumer Lending or other Lending platforms
• Demonstrated sense of personal agency and proactivity – you search for problems to fix rather than wait for them to be handed to you
