Website Content Manager

Overview

As Website Content Manager, you will own the roadmap and content strategy for  Reporting to the Vice President, Ecommerce and Digital you’ll partner with other teams and outside partners to develop a content and website roadmap, design new pages, set up and publish pages in Acquia Site Studio, and work with IT to manage a collaborative and efficient content authoring process.

You will identify opportunities to enhance the online experience to create a stronger full funnel experience that converts new visitors into patients and that nurtures existing patients to generate return visits and loyalty.

This is a hybrid position with a minimum of two onsite days per week at our Vienna, VA or Raleigh, NC office.

• Own the publishing calendar and process for creating new content, updating existing content and managing promotional banners on
• Partner with the brand and creative team and other My Eye Dr . departments to draft and review new site content, maintaining a consistent brand voice and championing web best practices.
• Champion SEO best practices – work with outside agencies to review SEO performance and implement changes as needed.
• Own the roadmap for content modules onsite and work with IT to evolve the available library to meet content publishing needs.
• Develop and oversee content publishing process, ensuring adequate review and business approvals as well as QAing before content goes live.
• Ensure website is aligned with overall promotional calendar and brand style guide.
• Work with outside partners to create new content and evolve the digital experience.
• Collaborate with a wide group of My Eye Dr . stakeholders to create and approve new content.
• When needed, set up content directly in Acquia/Drupal; function as SME for content publishing.
• Comfortable functioning as a strategy leader for the content site and in a hands-on capacity.

• Bachelor’s degree in marketing or similar, or the equivalent combination of education, experience & skills
• 5+ years’ experience in a comparable role.
• Demonstrates a point of view on how AI can support content performance, operational efficiency, and scalable publishing
• Entrepreneurial mindset – excited to stand up a new function and work creatively to come up with new processes.
• Collaborative and curious – comfortable working with a wide range of teams with diverse experience and perspectives; comfortable championing web best practices and being open to different ideas on key content.
• Power user for CMS – completely comfortable creating web content and publishing independently and in collaboration with larger teams.
• Experience with Acquia Site Studio and Drupal strongly preferred.
• Comfortable leveraging image editing software such as the Adobe suite and Canva to edit existing images for web use.
• Comfortable using tools like Google Analytics to understand impact of content updates.
• Strong understanding of SEO fundamentals and how to optimize content and images for SEO.
