Pay Grade:
Technician 6
This position provides training, technology solutions, and offers ongoing support to faculty across all teaching modalities on effectively using the college’s learning management system (LMS) and other educational technology tools. In addition, the role provides helpdesk support to students for the LMS and related educational technologies, ensuring a smooth and accessible learning experience for all users.

Responsibilities- Provides LMS training; accessibility workshops, and workshops on other eLearning technology related topics to include tools such as but not limited to:
Softchalk, Snagit, YuJa, and H5P - Provides training and support to colleges’ web conferencing tools
- Provides LMS helpdesk support in various modalities for faculty and students
- Assists in managing content in the Academic Tech Toolkit departmental site
- Monitors developments in emerging technologies and makes recommendations for potential implementation
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams)
- Proficient in Blackboard or equivalent LMS
- Excellent communication, technological, project management, organizational, and time management skills
- Skill in effectively communicating complex technical matters related to disabilities both verbally and in writing
- Understanding of how individuals with disabilities access the web
- Ability to work efficiently under time constraints; ability to multi-task and prioritize
- Ability to work comfortably with diverse populations and with people from all areas and levels of the College
- Ability to work occasional evening hours
- Bachelor's degree in a technology related field or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- One year of technology/helpdesk support experience
- Bachelor's degree in a technology related field
- One year of online training or online teaching experience
