The Service Now Test Manager will lead and execute comprehensive testing strategies across Service Now implementations. This role partners with technical teams, program leadership, and business stakeholders to ensure high-quality delivery through manual and automated testing, effective UAT coordination, and adherence to Service Now best practices and governance standards.
Key Responsibilities:- Develop and lead testing strategies across all SDLC phases, including functional, regression, integration, performance, and UAT testing
- Define, create, and manage detailed test plans, test cases, and scripts aligned with business and technical requirements
- Own end-to-end testing execution, including defect identification, triage, tracking, and resolution
- Utilize Service Now Automated Test Framework (ATF) and test management tools to improve testing efficiency and coverage
- Coordinate and facilitate User Acceptance Testing (UAT), including stakeholder communication and test execution
- Perform API testing using REST and SOAP services
- Report testing status, metrics, risks, and quality outcomes to stakeholders and leadership
- Ensure compliance with internal QA standards, security controls, and Service Now governance
- Stay current with Service Now releases, testing tools, and best practices
- Mentor QA team members and end users on testing processes and ATF usage
- Bachelor’s degree in a related discipline with 6 years of relevant experience
- OR Master’s degree with 4 years’ experience
- OR Ph.D. with 1 year of experience
- OR 10 years of relevant experience in a related field
- Strong understanding of Service Now platform functionality and core modules
- Hands-on experience with Service Now Automated Test Framework (ATF)
- Experience with test management tools such as Zephyr, qTest, or Test Rail
- Proven experience designing and executing functional, regression, and integration test cases
- Hands-on API testing experience (REST and SOAP)
- Familiarity with Agile, Scrum, Waterfall, and Kanban methodologies
- Experience coordinating and facilitating UAT, including stakeholder communication and training
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
- Ability to manage testing activities in complex, cross-functional environments
Skills:
- Service Now certifications such as CSA, Implementation Specialist, or Application Developer
- Experience with Service Now Test Management module
- ISTQB or Certified Agile Tester (CAT) certification
- Background in cloud or managed services environments (MSP experience preferred)
- Familiarity with Salesforce, ITSM, or ITIL frameworks (ITIL v3 or v4 preferred)
- Experience with load and performance testing tools
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field, or equivalent experience
