OnBase Migration Business Analyst

Job Type: 8-month contract with possibility for extensions

Job Summary

The Business Analyst will support the delivery of a major ECM initiative that migrates a large volume of documents from an acquisition to Hyland OnBase. This role focuses on understanding business needs, analyzing current content structures and mapping acquired content to Hyland OnBase document types. This is a hands‑on, technical analyst role focused on document and metadata mapping, migration support, and validation.

The analyst will partner closely with business stakeholders, technology teams, and governance leadership to ensure data integrity, metadata alignment, content lifecycle compliance, and improved user experience throughout the transition.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support electronic document migrations with a strong focus on Hyland On Base
  • Participate in business and IT stakeholder meetings
  • Gather and document migration requirements, taxonomy, and metadata
  • Create and maintain source‑to‑target document and metadata mapping
  • Assist with extraction, transformation, and load (ETL) specifications
  • Support document migrations related to Mergers & Acquisitions (M&A)
  • Validate migrated documents and metadata for accuracy and completeness
  • Track tasks, issues, and deliverables using Jira or similar tools
Required Skills & Experience
  • 2–5 years of experience in document management or document migration
  • Strong Hyland OnBase experience (required)
Experience with
  • Open Text
  • Microsoft Share Point
  • Kofax or similar capture tools
  • Working knowledge of SQL for data validation and reconciliation
  • Strong skills in Microsoft Excel (formulas, lookups, macros) and Office 365
  • Experience with Jira, Azure Dev Ops, or similar work management tools
  • Strong documentation, analytical, and communication skills
  • Banking or financial services experience preferred
Nice to Have
  • Exposure to loan, deposit, or trust document types
  • Experience supporting large‑scale or time‑sensitive migrations
