Join EY as a Senior Master Data Governance/Management Consultant. The role involves shaping data strategy and technology implementation for clients worldwide.
OverviewEY’s Analytics and Data team seeks a Senior MDM professional who will guide clients through data governance design, advanced technology adoption, and master data management implementation.
Key Responsibilities- Designing and implementing data governance frameworks that align with business objectives.
- Collaborating with stakeholders to build analytics solutions that deliver tangible business value.
- Conducting maturity assessments to enhance data management capabilities across the organization.
- Developing solutions to complex problems, including functional and technical design of master data management software.
- Exercising judgment in selecting methods, techniques, and evaluation criteria for obtaining results.
- Guiding clients in defining a data governance strategy covering data quality, data catalog, master data management, analytics use cases, AI/ML readiness, and ERP/CRM alignment.
- Implementing cutting‑edge DQ tools and processes to maintain impeccable data standards throughout the infrastructure.
- Engaging in meticulous requirement gathering, interpreting Business Requirement Documents, and collaborating with system analysts to develop source‑to‑target mappings.
- Conducting thorough examinations of data within source databases prior to migration into data warehouses and generating detailed technical specifications in alignment with BRDs.
- Leading multiple engagements simultaneously to deliver high‑quality services and ensure client satisfaction.
- Traveling regularly to meet with external clients and stakeholders as required.
- Strong understanding of data privacy and governance principles.
- Experience in enterprise strategy and data management.
- Proficiency in metadata management and ontology design.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to convey complex information clearly.
- Demonstrated emotional agility and the ability to collaborate in hybrid environments.
- Knowledge of future trends and industry changes with the ability to articulate these to customers.
- Benchmark design, development, and delivery knowledge.
- Working knowledge of AWS and Azure cloud technologies.
- Strong leadership and communication skills to articulate complex issues and drive business outcomes.
- Research and provide insights on industry standards, regulations, technology assessments, and forecasts.
- Expertise in Data Privacy and Master Data Management.
- Understanding of Data Governance and Enterprise Strategy.
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Advanced Data Analytics, or a related technical or scientific field.
- Minimum of 3 years of direct involvement with MDM tools including SAP MDG and/or Informatica MDM.
- ERP implementation experience, including full implementation cycles of SAP with SAP MDG as a component.
- Ideally, not less than 3 years of relevant developer experience in master data management software.
- Strong understanding of Data Governance principles.
- Experience with Enterprise IT Architecture.
- Valid driver’s license in the US; willingness and ability to travel internationally to meet client needs.
- Track record of successful stakeholder engagement.
- Experience with complex problem‑solving and critical thinking.
- Track record of driving outcomes in collaborative environments.
- Familiarity with digital fluency and hybrid collaboration tools.
- Passion for innovation and the strategic application of emerging technologies to solve real‑world challenges.
