SAP - Production Planning - PP - Senior - Consulting

EY is seeking an innovative SAP Manufacturing specialist to join our Technical Consulting team, focusing on SAP Production Planning (PP) within the Core Supply Chain capability. As a Senior Technology Analyst, you will bridge business needs and technical solutions, interact with business stakeholders to gather and analyze requirements, and work with technical teams to design and deliver effective system architecture solutions.

• Interacting with business stakeholders to evaluate business models and processes.
• Analyzing newly implemented technology solutions to verify they meet business requirements.
• Collaborating with technical teams to design and deliver system architecture solutions.
• Act as a Subject Matter Resource (SMR) for SAP Manufacturing during project implementations. Facilitate design workshops and discussions, gather requirements, and recommend tailored S/4 HANA best practices.
• Successfully guide the implementation of these solutions within client SAP ecosystems.
• Demonstrate in-depth functional capabilities of SAP Production Planning (PP) and associated modules, coupled with a strong business acumen.
• Provide exceptional client service by tracking project milestones, managing risks, and maintaining clear communication with stakeholders regarding progress and results.
• Cultivate and sustain relationships with key client personnel at all levels.

To excel in this role, you will need a combination of technical and interpersonal skills. Your ability to build relationships and communicate effectively will be crucial. In typical engagements, you will assess business and IT needs in the manufacturing and quality management domains, provide guidance on SAP capabilities, and translate requirements into effective business solutions. You will oversee configurations, customizations, and integrations with SAP and non-SAP systems.

• Bachelor’s degree.
• Typically 2-4 years of related experience in a functional capacity with exposure to SAP Production Planning (PP).
• Minimum of 2 years of experience with SAP ERP and/or SAP S/4
  
  HANA, specifically in the SAP manufacturing domain.
• Experience with configuration, master data, and end-to-end understanding of SAP PP.
• Strong technical skills in application functional design.
• Expertise in technology business requirements definition, analysis, and mapping.
• Strong written and verbal communication, presentation, client service, and technical writing skills, with experience delivering work products such as business process design documents and functional specification documents.
• Ability to research client inquiries and emerging issues, including regulations, industry practices, and new technologies.
• Willingness to travel; travel is estimated at 40-60%.

• Prior consulting industry experience or deep functional experience in manufacturing.
• Experience with SAP external integrations to MES, MII, ME, DMC, etc.
• SAP certifications in SAP Manufacturing, Quality Management (QM) or related modules.
• Experience with at least one full cycle SAP PP or QM implementation.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
