PlanIT Group is seeking an Incident Response Coordinator IV for our Federal customer in the Washington, DC area. The ideal candidate will respond to crisis or urgent situations within the pertinent domain to mitigate immediate and potential threats. Uses mitigation, preparedness, response, and recovery approaches to maximize survival of life, preservation of property, and information security. Must demonstrate a solid understanding of cyber security analysis, incident response, incident handling, and experience with an incident response team.

Experience with Splunk, Sentinel One, Armis, SNA preferred.

• Location: Remote in Raleigh, NC area
• Start Date: 03/31/25
• Duration: One year plus extensions

• Support staff scheduling and staffing forecasts
• Ensure incident escalation and reporting procedures are followed
• Provide prompt technical support via phone and email
• Ingest, triage, prioritize, assign, and document incidents
• Correlate and fuse incident information for cyber alerts
• Document threats per NIST 800-61 guidelines
• Manage out-of-scope requests and route appropriately
• Coordinate with US Government components
• Develop and maintain SOPs

• 8+ years in computer forensics or vulnerability analysis
• 8+ years in information security, incident response
• 1+ year as a certified investigator
• Bachelor’s or higher degree in cyber security, CS, MIS, or related
• Certifications:
  
  Certified Investigator, CISSP, GCIH, GPEN (one or more)

• Ability to obtain a Public Trust Clearance
• Pass clearance, drug, criminal, and credit checks
• US Citizen or Permanent Resident, with US residence for past 5 years
• Travel restrictions: no more than 6 months outside US in past 5 years
