Role Summary
We are seeking a strategic and results-oriented HR Project Manager to drive cross-functional HR initiatives and transformation projects. This role will partner closely with HR Business Partners (HRBPs), business leaders, and HR Centers of Excellence (COEs) to manage and deliver projects focused on organizational optimization, change management, and continuous improvement. The ideal candidate thrives in a dynamic environment, has a strong understanding of HR operations, and brings project management expertise to ensure successful outcomes.
Key Responsibilities and Deliverables- Project & Program Management – Lead end-to-end planning and execution of HR-related projects, including org design changes, restructuring, workforce planning, and talent initiatives; develop detailed project plans, timelines, stakeholder maps, and communications strategies; track progress, resolve issues, mitigate risks, and report on milestones.
- Organizational Optimization & Change Management – Support HRBPs in diagnosing organizational effectiveness; partner with leaders to implement design changes; design and execute change management plans; serve as connective tissue between HRBPs and COEs; identify opportunities to consolidate and streamline services; facilitate working sessions; drive continuous improvement initiatives; analyze HR metrics and employee feedback; contribute to strategy development.
- Required:
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field. - Required:
5+ years of experience in HR, project management, or business operations with strong HR acumen. - Required:
Proven experience leading cross-functional projects in a matrixed organization. - Required:
Strong knowledge of HR functions and organizational change practices. - Required:
Exceptional communication, stakeholder management, and problem-solving skills. - Required:
Proficiency in project management tools (e.g., Smartsheet, Asana, Microsoft Project). - Preferred:
Experience with HR Business Partner/COE models. - Preferred:
Experience in fast-paced, high-growth environments or large-scale transformations.
- On-time, on-budget delivery of HR projects.
- Improved HR service delivery and stakeholder satisfaction.
- Successful execution of change initiatives with minimal disruption.
- Measurable improvements in organizational design and HR operational efficiency.

This compensation range is specific to the States of New York and California and takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets;
experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. The disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled, and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $100,000 to $200,000.
