Amenity Construction Group is looking for a Human Resources Director to join our growing team!

With over 40 years of expertise in aquatic and specialty outdoor construction, we at Amenity Construction Group provide single‑source solutions through design, consulting, and building for pool construction and renovation, hardscapes, softscapes, and outdoor living & entertainment. Our portfolio includes Pearl Pools, Resurrection Pools, and Jim Hinson Pools—each specializing in distinct yet complementary services that seamlessly serve commercial and residential clients across the East Coast and parts of the Southwest.

As Human Resources Director, you will play a key role in supporting this mission by handling all aspects of people operations from recruitment, onboarding, and compliance to employee relations, benefits, and shaping company culture. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys both strategy and execution—you’ll be the go‑to HR expert within Amenity Construction Group, working closely with leadership to support our people and help the organization grow.

As Human Resources Director you will bring a forward‑thinking, people‑first mindset and be skilled at balancing business goals with employee needs.

The Human Resources Director reports into the Chief People Officer of The Amenity Collective, parent company to Amenity Construction Group. Based out of our corporate headquarters in Raleigh, NC, this is a hands‑on HR leadership role without people supervisory responsibilities.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Collaborates with senior leadership to understand the organization's goals and strategy related to staffing, recruiting, and retention.
  • Plans, leads, develops, coordinates, and implements policies, processes, training, initiatives, and surveys to support the organization's human resource compliance and strategy needs.
  • Administers or oversees the administration of human resource programs including, but not limited to, compensation, benefits, and leave; disciplinary matters; disputes and investigations; performance and talent management; productivity, recognition, and morale; occupational health and safety; and training and development.
  • Develops and executes best practices for hiring, retaining and developing talent.
  • Manage the entire onboarding process for new employees, partnering with hiring managers to ensure a best in class new hire experience.
  • Partner with operations on active frontline recruitment initiatives, including but not limited to managing job postings, optimizing Applicant Tracking System, and screening resumes and interview candidates.
  • Conducts research and analysis of organizational trends including review of reports and metrics from the organization's human resource information system (HRIS) or talent management system.
  • Monitors and ensures the organization's compliance with federal, state/provincial, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices; reviews and modifies policies and practices to maintain compliance.
  • Maintains knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law; applies this knowledge to communicate changes in policy, practice, and resources to upper management.
  • Develops and implements departmental budget.
  • Manage and resolve complex employee relations issues. Conduct effective, thorough and objective investigations.
  • Provide day‑to‑day performance management guidance to line management (e.g., coaching, counseling, career development, disciplinary actions).
  • Develop contract terms for new hires, promotions and transfers.
  • Complete administrative duties as needed.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.
SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS
  • 5+ years of progressive HR experience.
  • Experience in the construction or related industry is preferred.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
  • SHRM‑SCP or SPHR certification is strongly preferred.
