The Role:Community Manager
We are seeking a high-energy, multifaceted Community Manager to serve as the heartbeat of our House. This isn't just a management role; it is a leadership position that sits at the intersection of hospitality, sales, and event programming.
The Community Manager is responsible for the member experience and operational excellence, but with an added layer of elevated food and beverage service and high-end event execution.
Key Responsibilities1. Community Engagement & Hospitality- Foster a warm, inclusive, and vibrant environment for all members and guests.
- Act as the primary point of contact for member inquiries, feedback, and conflict resolution.
- Ensure the physical space meets our high standards of aesthetic and functional excellence.
- Drive club growth by leading tours for prospective members and managing the sales pipeline from inquiry to onboarding.
- Meet monthly membership retention and acquisition targets.
- Identify opportunities for local partnerships that add value to the membership experience.
- Curate and execute a monthly calendar of diverse member events (e.g., speaker series, wine tastings, wellness workshops, and networking mixers).
- Coordinate with the food and beverage team to ensure seamless catering and service for all internal and private events.
- Manage event logistics, including vendor outreach, setup/teardown, and marketing.
- Supervise front-of-house staff to ensure consistent, five-star service delivery.
- Manage the club’s operational budget, including supplies and programming expenses.
- Utilize CRM and membership software to track data, manage billing, and analyze community trends.
- Experience: 3–5 years in community management (coworking), hospitality management (private club, Hotel etc)
- The 'Host' Mentality: You possess an intuitive sense of hospitality and know how to make everyone in a room feel seen and welcomed.
- Sales Savvy: Comfortable pitching the value of Common House and closing membership deals.
- Adaptability: You thrive in a fast-paced environment where you might move from a budget meeting to troubleshooting a microphone for a live event in the same hour.
- Local Connection: Deep knowledge of the North Carolina social and professional landscape is a major plus.
