Physician Assistant - Acute Care, Physician Assistant - Urgent Care, Nurse Practitioner - Urgent Care

This role offers an exciting opportunity to work independently, handle a wide variety of cases, and support our community’s health needs in a fast-paced environment.

In this position, you'll be responsible for treating adult and pediatric patients (6 months and up), performing minor procedures such as I&D, lac repairs, and ear irrigations, all while maintaining exceptional patient care and soft skills. You'll need to work efficiently using EPIC EMR, with the ability to manage a patient volume of up to 60 patients per day. Your proficiency with EPIC, strong clinical judgment, and positive attitude are essential to succeed.

As an independent provider, you'll make clinical decisions, collaborate seamlessly with staff, and deliver compassionate care to diverse age groups.

Required Skills:

Minimum of 12 months experience treating adults and pediatrics in an urgent or acute care setting

Current Board Certification (PA NCCPA, Family NP Certification) or equivalent licensing

Valid BLS, NC DEA certificate

Proficiency with EPIC EMR system

Ability to independently see and treat all assigned patients

Strong interpersonal skills for effective communication with patients and staff

Capable of performing minor procedures (I & D, Lac repair, Ear irrigation)

Nice to Have

Skills:

Experience with high-volume patient care

Prior experience working in fast-paced urgent care environments

Additional certifications such as Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS)

Preferred

Education and Experience:

Graduation from an accredited PA or NP program

At least 12 months of recent urgent or acute care experience

Experience using EPIC EMR system

Other Requirements:

Must be within a 60-mile radius of the facility location or support multiple sites within this range

Ability to participate in mandatory EMR and onboarding training sessions scheduled on set Wednesdays before scheduled shifts

Willingness to complete credentialing requirements and provide documentation prior to onboarding

No travel reimbursement, only mileage support will be available

This position starts on January 21, 2026, with an hourly pay rate of $1.00.
