The UNC Health Office of Clinical Research is seeking an experienced nurse to join their team as a Clinical Research Nursing Coordinator. This position will support a variety of therapeutic areas, not limited to oncology, and serve as the first point of contact for inquiries.
Summary:
Works as a clinical research nurse while also serving as team lead and a subject matter expert for the clinical nursing team. In addition to research nursing responsibilities, this position will oversee the team on a day-to-day basis, be a first point of contact for questions, assist with orienting new hires, advise/guide on clinical operations, help with evaluations and interviewing.
Education Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree (BSN) from an accredited school of Nursing. Master's preferred.
Licensure/Certification Requirements:
- RN NC LIC; BCLS
- Preferred: OCN RN
Professional Experience Requirements:
- Minimum of three (3) years of nursing experience required. Previous clinical research experience required.
Knowledge/Skills/and Abilities Requirements:
- LANGUAGE
SKILLS:
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization. - MATHEMATICAL
SKILLS:
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs. - STATISTICAL REPORTING; ANALYZE TRENDS; STATISTICAL ANALYSIS; DATA VERIFICATION; DATA CODING-GENERAL; DATA ANALYSIS/INTERPRETATION.
- REASONING ABILITY:
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
