What you will do in the role:
- Handle inquiry calls and assist with scheduling assessments or triage referrals.
- Ensure assessments are performed by qualified mental health professionals.
- Screen for medical and behavioral emergencies.
- Conduct comprehensive assessments and provide therapeutic care for patients with substance abuse, dual diagnosis, or psychiatric disorders; coordinate with clinical teams and on-call physicians.
- Explain treatment plans to patients and families to facilitate acceptance and adherence.
- Complete administrative tasks related to admissions and insurance precertification.
Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in social work or counseling required; RN licensure may substitute depending on regulations.
- Current unencumbered social work, counseling license, or RN license.
- Valid driver’s license, favorable MVR, and proof of insurance if using personal vehicle.
- Proficiency in typing and keyboard use.
- CPR and CPI certification within 30 days of hire.
- Experience in psychiatric healthcare with adult and geriatric patients preferred.
- Strong clinical assessment skills required.
