. As a Behavior Technician at Priorities, you’ll help children with autism learn, grow, and build communication, socialization, and self‑help skills through play‑based therapy known as applied behavior analysis (ABA).
We provide evidence‑based, contemporary ABA therapy to help children with autism find success. Once you learn the ropes of ABA, there’s potential for promotion in as little as three months and many opportunities to develop professionally.
Responsibilities- Support children with autism and special needs in their homes or in one of our centers.
- Implement ABA strategies to build communication, socialization, and self‑help skills.
- Collect and record data on client progress.
- Collaborate with ABA therapists, parents, and other professionals.
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Reliable transportation; valid driver’s license and personal vehicle preferred.
- Minimum age 18 and eligibility to work in the United States.
- Availability for a consistent weekly schedule (mornings, afternoons, and/or evenings).
- Ability to pass a background check.
- Characteristics valued: compassion, empathy, enthusiasm, kindness, goodwill, and reliability.
- Willingness to learn about autism, learning differences, and ABA.
- Professional background in childcare, teaching, or related fields a plus.
- Bi‑lingual (English/Spanish) fluency a plus.
- Part‑time:
Monday–Friday, 12 pm – 7 pm. - Starting pay $20/hr, with potential increases based on experience.
- Earning RBT certification through on‑the‑job training.
- Full‑time employees eligible for up to 15 days paid time off after 90 days.
- Part‑time employees eligible for sick leave.
Physical requirements vary and may include pushing, pulling, and lifting up to 35 pounds, and the ability to sit on the floor, stoop, stand, walk, and run.
