Position Summary The Medical Assistant will assist the doctor and nurses with various healthcare services following established policies and protocols. The Medical Assistant should be prepared to provide clerical and clinical support in the clinic.

Medical Assistant/ Hyperbaric Tech

• Position to start April 1st, 2026

• Demonstrate professionalism at all times.
• Greet, receive, and prepare patients for appointments
• Demonstrate a working knowledge of the policies and procedures of a medical office/clinic.
• Have an understanding of medical diagnosis and medical charts
• Operate hyperbaric chamber/monitoring patient
• Record and update medical histories of patients
• Maintain inventory of medical supplies and materials
• Schedule patients’ appointments
• Perform standard care procedures such as checking vitals
• Clean and maintain all equipment according to infection control standards
• Answer telephone inquiries from referring providers and patients
• Restock supplies in exam rooms
• Explain treatment procedures to patients
• Assist Physician/Nurse during exams
• Coordinate patient flow
• Participate in quality improvement and utilization review activities
• Ensure compliance with legal issues including patient confidentiality and risk management
• Adjust to fluctuating peaks in patient flow, acuity, and other operational demands while maintaining quality
• Performs other related duties as assigned by management

• Associates degree
• 1-2 years’ experience working in the healthcare field
• Knowledge of medical terminology
• Charting/documentation skills

• Medical assistant certification
• 2+ years’ experience working in the healthcare field and/or wound care
• Hyperbaric tech experience
• CPR certification
• Able to work collaboratively with multiple health professionals in a busy and complex environment
