Medical Assistant/ Hyperbaric Tech
Job Description- Position to start April 1st, 2026
- Demonstrate professionalism at all times.
- Greet, receive, and prepare patients for appointments
- Demonstrate a working knowledge of the policies and procedures of a medical office/clinic.
- Have an understanding of medical diagnosis and medical charts
- Operate hyperbaric chamber/monitoring patient
- Record and update medical histories of patients
- Maintain inventory of medical supplies and materials
- Schedule patients’ appointments
- Perform standard care procedures such as checking vitals
- Clean and maintain all equipment according to infection control standards
- Answer telephone inquiries from referring providers and patients
- Restock supplies in exam rooms
- Explain treatment procedures to patients
- Assist Physician/Nurse during exams
- Coordinate patient flow
- Participate in quality improvement and utilization review activities
- Ensure compliance with legal issues including patient confidentiality and risk management
- Adjust to fluctuating peaks in patient flow, acuity, and other operational demands while maintaining quality
- Performs other related duties as assigned by management
- Associates degree
- 1-2 years’ experience working in the healthcare field
- Knowledge of medical terminology
- Charting/documentation skills
- Medical assistant certification
- 2+ years’ experience working in the healthcare field and/or wound care
- Hyperbaric tech experience
- CPR certification
- Able to work collaboratively with multiple health professionals in a busy and complex environment
