Patient Services Representative

Overview

Location: Six Forks/North Hills area

Schedule: Monday – Friday, 1:30pm-10pm.

Wake Radiology UNC REX Healthcare is currently seeking a Patient Services Representative to provide administrative, clerical, and front desk support at our outpatient imaging center in our Six Forks/North Hills office. This role plays a vital part in delivering exceptional service to our patients and supporting our clinical team.

• Serve as the first point of contact for patients in person and via phone.
• Greet patients, answer questions, and provide assistance with registration and check-in.
• Collect and distribute patient paperwork for interviews and clinical use.
• Process and verify insurance information, including obtaining prior authorizations.
• Coordinate and file referrals, ensuring accurate and timely communication with providers.
• Enter patient and account information into the internal system accurately.
• Handle incoming and outgoing mail.
• Prepare daily schedules and make reminder calls to patients.
• Ensure all authorizations and documents are ready for the next day’s appointments.
• Contact patients with outstanding balances to arrange payments.
• Assist with other administrative duties as assigned by the supervisor.

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a medical office setting (radiology experience preferred).
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Proficiency with computers and data entry.
• Ability to work effectively with a variety of patients and staff.
