This is a full-time position at the Amelia Aesthetics Raleigh location.

The Surgical Tech is required to:
  • Possess proof of completion of Surgical Tech program or relative experience
  • Be compassionate and sensitive to the privacy of patients
  • Maintain professional competence through continuing education
  • Be knowledgeable of policies and procedures specific to the facility
  • Adhere to the standards and guidelines outlined by QUAD A
  • Perform infection control activities to include observation of the surgical team during procedures, taking corrective actions as needed to maintain aseptic technique. Provide a surgically clean environment for patient care and ensure the sterility of supplies and instrumentation used during operative procedures
  • Have exceptional interpersonal communication and collaboration skills
  • Collaborate with the surgical team to prepare patients for surgery by ensuring proper positioning on the surgical table
  • Prepare patients for surgery by disinfecting their skin at the operation site and draping the patient
  • Confirm cases on the schedule to ensure proper equipment is pulled for procedures
  • Ensure sterility when setting up instruments and equipment for procedures
  • Possess competence in sterilization, maintenance, and use of all equipment
  • Maintain equipment logs and spore test logs in accordance with QUAD A guidelines
  • Prepare and anticipate additional instrumentation, equipment, and supplies for use during procedures
  • Anticipate the needs of the surgeon by passing instruments and supplies during procedures
  • Perform instrument, sharps, and sponge counts with the surgical team prior to the operation and before the incision is closed
  • Assist the surgical team in applying proper dressings and garments at completion of procedure
  • Ensure the operating room is clean and prepared for the next case
  • Ensure local procedure patients complete consent, assist with procedure, discharge information is reviewed, and follow-up appointments are made
  • Stock and assist with ordering of supplies as needed to ensure there are no deficits
