PRN Days (Raleigh, NC)
- Performs various cardiovascular/vascular procedures including, but not limited to monitoring of diagnostic and interventional procedures in accordance with applicable scope and standards of practice.
- Operates specialized equipment for use in diagnostic and vascular test; and therapeutic interventions performed in the Cardiac/Vascular Cath Lab
- Scrubs at the tableside and monitors patients as assigned.
- Responsible for patient transport as necessary.
- Prepares equipment and supplies. Selects appropriate exposure factors and imaging parameters. Implements safety standards and performs appropriate quality control procedures on equipment. Troubleshoots, resolves, and/or reports equipment malfunctions as necessary.
- Applicants should have an associates degree from a Graduate of a Program in Discipline (Radiologic Technology or Cardiovascular Technology) - Required.
- Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS) or Registered Radiographer with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) with a thorough working knowledge of practices and experiences in a Cardiac/Vascular Cath Lab.
- One-year of cardiovascular lab or special procedures experience is preferred.
- Must be able to perform all vascular/cardiac procedures involving the operation of imaging equipment including assisting the physician during the actual catheterization procedure.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) American Heart Association (AHA) is required.
